As you probably already know, I’ve been trying to write a buttload of articles on a daily basis.  I know, 20 articles a day, it seems insane, but if you do it the way I do it, it’s actually easy work, theoretically I can be done in several hours and still have a whole day in front of me, so it’s not that crazy.  But the question is this:

Should I do EZA, or Should I just start on my own websites & campaigns?

I take the latter option:

I do not have a part-time job, I guess I have too much pride to do the part-time job thing, I’d rather start on the internet and finish on the internet, I want to be able to say I built my internet business from nothing; so I guess that’s why I’m doing this, but if I had to do it all over again, I may consider a part-time job.  And starting on my own websites, this is why:

Negatives of Going on EZA:

• Not all the people you attract with your content is going to your webistes, they could be distracted and click on an EZA adsense ad, or simply go to another article, which sucks for you
• Also, you have to wait to get approved, sometimes you want to have the article out there right away – and the process is even slower if you have a basic membership with them.
• Last but not least, there’s specific products that you can not market on EZA, some of these products would be dramatically boosting my income, but for some reason they are not allowed – which is pretty depressing.

Positives of EZA

• Your article can beat out the competition with very little need for backlinks, and can keep that ranking for awhile
• Your article will get on Google in a short amount of time
• You can see what works based on looking at other articles!
• When you post articles and have them approved and sent through – you will see a dramatic influx of traffic (which will die down in the end)

That’s the gist of it….so I recommend that if you are not starting from dirt zero like I am, that you use some of the money to invest in your own website and that you simply use websites as a marketing tool and not the center of your business; like I am, temporarily. 

Also, I want to buy a laptop so I can start installing and using programs to aid in my marketing as well, I’m currently working with my affiliate marketing by typing on the library computers, which can tend to suck because there things that you can not install or do, but I guess it makes for a better success story, right?

I don’t care what anybody says, bum marketing is an incredible thing for people just starting out. If you have no money to invest into bigger things, you should try bum marketing.

After you do bum marketing for awhile, you should have enough cash for:

• PPC
• Blogging
• Outsourcing
• E-commerce or EBay business (physical products)
• Building your own online Business
• Even creating your own products

Balance Quality & Quantity

This is the single most important thing when writing article next to finding the perfect niche and submitting to the right directories. If you are not a fast typer, then I recommend the dragon speech to text software. They sell it on Amazon and even their own website, it’s great because it allows you to speak and to turn your speech into text.

You want articles roughly around 300-400 words, 500 isn’t a bad article either. Remember, a long article can be just as bad as a too short article. That’s why you want to balance speed and quality.

Here’s a guide for writing your article:

• Attention grabbing introduction – identify with their problem & claim you have a solution (in your intro, you want to list 2-3 points that you are going to discuss in your article)
• Discuss your first point
• Discuss your second point
• And if necessary, write about your third point
• Conclusion - briefly summarize what their problem was, how their solution will help them, and leave the rest to your author’s resource box.

Well, here’s a little guide to have a great author’s resource box: A.I.D.A

A.I.D.A? do you know what that is: that’s Attention, Interest, Desire, Action

You want to grab their attention with your first few words; then you want to maintain their interest and spark their curiosity. You can probably spark their interest in a form of a question. Desire is when you put the dream in their head, that you can bring them the solution to their problem, then you have a Call to action, in which you tell them to “sign up here”

Designing the Landing Page

The landing page is the single most important phase of your marketing, if you do not have a great landing page, then you probably will not achieve as many sales as usually possible.

You have three options when it comes to designing a landing page

• Host your own domain & webhost and create a landing page from scratch, buy a template, or have someone else design it for you
• Get a free blogger blog, squidoo, or hub-page and create a “review style” landing page
• Do not create a landing page at all, and use “re-direction” link to link from the article straight to the affiliate product. (some article directories do not allow affiliate links)

I lied, there’s 4 tips:

Diversifying and Persistence. It’s not going to be easy at first, you may want to give up as there are people who go weeks without seeing a sale. I went over it and he gives great tips.  Bum marketing is the reason my business got off the ground.  Now even though I do not recommend designing your whole business around & quitting your day job – you can make a legit income with it.

I have read both these guys and have seen success with the system.  I have seen multiple “$xxx” dollar days and probably will continue to in the future.

The Trick to Seeing 100$ a Day

There’s really no secret, it’s usually working smarter than everybody else.  Easier said than done, right?  Well it actually is pretty easy.  When bum marketing, just simply see which keywords can get you the most views.

I recommend submitting to top article directories like ezineariticles, going to hub-pages, and squidoo.  If you find other top directories, that’s fine to.  Just try to avoid usfreeads – it never really worked for me, no matter how hard I tried.
