Day 4 – Motivation, Motivation, Motivation

5 Jun

8:57  AM update: Right now, I’m about to start my workday at exactly 9 o’clock.  This is probably the earliest I have gotten to start working simply because I usually have football workouts and all that great stuff in the morning.  Staying in shape is also key to internet marketing success believe it or not, if you’re in shape and healthy – it’s a lot easier to concentrate, anyways

Here are my goals today:

  • 100 articles today, that’s always my goal, but I’m going to have to work my tail off
  • Try to exercise the 48 minute work, 12 minute break rule, so I won’t burn myself out
  • Learn how to install affiliate theme into my blog, we’ll see how that goes
  • Time to work now!

10:36 AM Update:  I’m a little temporarily burnt out, I’m figuring out a way to motivate myself, so we’ll see, I’ve done titles for all my articles, but I guess I’m at a temporary loss at action because I’m figuring out which path I need to take.  I think I’m just going to try to bang out the articles, and just not think about it.  Deep breathing and finding techniques to completely immerse myself in the work.  Once I do that, it’s over!  So we’ll see!   I’m going to try to follow the flow techniques listed here:

http://www.thatvoodooyoudo.com/best-practice/flow/ - it teaches how to get into the zone at work.  By doing this, I can definitely increase my workload and see an amazing income.  Getting into the zone consistently will definitely help me out, so I’m going to read up on it, and see if it works – update you guys later!

  1. It says I need a short term goal – my short term goal for this is to finish the end of this current niche that I’m currently doing, before I move on to the next
  2. Avoid going to irrelevant sites – When there is a problem coming up, the mind tends to get distracted, try not to get distracted and going to irrelevant sites, texting, or any of that
  3. Merge action and awareness, kind of like dancing with the keys?  So I guess, I have to pretend I’m merged with the music and the dancing, and the keyboarding
  4. Spend 15 minutes of dedicated, uninterrupted time trying to get into the “flow”
  5. Immediate feedback
  6. Make hard tasks easier, and easier tasks – so I should just try cruising, but not making it too easy – I have to set goals that are pretty easy for me to achieve, but not too easy as those result in boredom. -  So writing over and over again is pretty easy – but writing with a sense of speed isn’t, so I’ll try to balance to two.
  7. Try to do the research before hand, to avoid researching and getting interrupted
  8. As soon as you focus on something else, use that as a trigger to refocus into the task at hand, your mind has to be occupied with something, and by triggering it down to the work at hand, you can ultimately start seeing success.

So by following these tips I should be fine, it’s 1050 AM, so i’ll tell you how it worked out!
